Dear valued clients,
In light of current events concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have decided to move to “drop off” appointments only for the time being. We don’t want to cause panic but the health and well-being of our patients, clients, and staff are of top priority. Until further notice, if your pet needs to be seen by our doctors, please call to schedule a drop off appointment. We will still be offering same day appointments, however these will be done on a drop off basis as well. Call us once you pull into the parking lot, and our staff will come outside and take your pet into the building. Exceptions will be made for traumatic emergencies and euthanasia’s. Our doctors and staff will communicate with you via phone about your pet after your pet has been seen. If you need us we are here. If you have special circumstances we will work with you and do everything in our power to assist you and make this change as smooth and hassle free as possible. We will be functioning similarly with our grooming and boarding patients. We hope to be back to normal operations very soon, but feel that this is the correct move to protect the health of our clients and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience.
In addition, we can still refill your pet’s medication and prescription diets at the clinic. If you need to pick up your pet’s medication or food at the clinic, please call us once you are in the parking lot and we will assist you from there.
We will also be adjusting our weekday schedule. We will continue to be open at 7am but will be closing at 6pm, instead of 8, to allow our staff plenty of time to disinfect after the day. We do not know how long we will have the shortened weekday hours but will do so as long as the city and CDC recommend it. If you have an emergency after hours OSU small animal clinic is still taking emergencies, you will need to call ahead of time at 405-744-7000.
We have always cleaned our exam rooms and washed our hands between patients. We are now cleaning highly trafficked surfaces hourly as well. Please, if you are sick or have been around someone with an illness, please reschedule or find someone else to bring your pet in.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but everyone’s health, human and animal alike, is our top priority here at Perkins Road Pet Clinic.
We appreciate your help and support,
Dr Melissa Tillotson and Jim Tillotson
